South Australian short film The Worst Alien in the World, directed by Anthony Frith and produced by Rebecca Elliott, has been nominated for SEVEN South Australian Screen Awards.
I had the pleasure of shooting production stills for this hilariously dark comedy which explores familial life in the suburbs on the last day of Earth. Think Hey Dad meets Independence Day with a heavy dose of Tim and Eric and a splash of comedic verbal abuse ala Archer.
The Worst Alien in the World nominations include:
Best Short Film
Best Comedy
Best Performance (Adrian Barnes)
Best Performance by (Sam Dugmore)
Best Director (Anthony Frith)
Best Production Design (Lucy Campbell)
Massive congratulations to Anthony and Rebecca, Adrian, Sam and Lucy and the rest of the cast and crew.
BONUS: Special congratulations also to Aaron Shuppan for his Best Music Video nomination for Nakatomi's The Knife, for which I also shot production stills.
Honestly, you just have to love South Australian film.
